Keith Coleman begins his 5th year with San Juan South.
In addition to his work with San Juan South and Elite Soccer Academy, Keith is on the Coaching Staff for the 2016 and 2017 WPSL Northern California Champion California Storm.
Before joining the Storm in 2016, He spent 22 years as the Head Coach at the University of the Pacific. During his time with the Tigers, Coleman guided Pacific to its first Big West Conference Championship and first appearance in the NCAA Women’s Soccer Tournament. He earned Big West Coach of the Year honors for the second consecutive season, after becoming the first coach in Big West soccer history to post an undefeated conference record (7-0-2). With a 2-1 win over Pac 12 Champion California during the first round of the NCAA Tournament, Coleman set a school record with 15 wins during the season.
Coleman was an assistant coach under Bob Russ at Chico State. He helped coach the Wildcats to victories in 30 of 37 games in his two seasons with Chico. He helped guide Chico State to its first regional championship and an appearance in the NCAA Division II playoffs, as the team advanced to the final six in 1992. During his stint as a coach for the Wildcats, Chico State ranked as high as 5th in the nation and No. 1 in the Western Region.
Coleman also spent four years as Head Coach of the Women’s Club Soccer Program at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, where his teams captured 3 California State Titles and the 1991 Women’s Independent College National Championship.
The 1998 Pacific Women’s Soccer team was inducted into the Pacific Athletics Hall of Fame in 2010.

Michelle Coleman returns for her 6th season with San Juan South. She has been instrumental in the growth of the program and is primarily responsible for individual instruction and team development.Coleman recently completed her third season as the St. Mary’s High School Head Coach where her team captured the 2016 TCAL Championship and compiled an overall 18-3-2 record. In addition, to coaching club and High School Michelle is a member of the San Joaquin Delta College coaching staff.Her experience spans both collegiate and high school level programs. As a player, she was a member of the Sonoma State University Soccer Team that won the Division II National Championship in 1990.She then moved on to Cal Poly, where she was a member of the institution’s Independent Club National Championship team and the school’s first sanctioned NCAA team. She was also a member of the Sacramento Storm team that captured the U.S. Women’s Open and USISL National Championships in 1994.Coleman graduated in 1994 from Chico State with a degree in physical education. She holds NSCAA, US Soccer Licenses and a Coerver Youth Diploma.

Jan begins his 4th year with San Juan South. In addition to his work with us, Coach Nordmo has a wide range of playing and coaching experiences. His participation in soccer has spanned over 45 years with both youth and adult accolades including US Open Cup Championship Region VI as an adult. His focus the past 30 years have been in coaching and coaching education. Not only has he maintained the USSF A Coaching License for the past 16 years, he has also achieved the NSCAA Premier Diploma along with two other Youth Diplomas in coaching from the Dutch KNVB. Jan Eric also holds a Masters’ Degree in Recreational and Sports Science with an emphasis in Coaching Education.Coach Nordmo’s experience as a coach also spans a wide range of experiences from youth club, high school, college and on to amateur men’s & women’s programs, as well as, Olympic Development Programs across state and region and semi-professional programs in the NPSL.Jan Eric’s professional background is also soccer related as businesses that he owns including Off the Wall Soccer, Arena Soccer Centers, Inc., Off the Wall Soccer, Chico Sports Arena LLC and is a co-founder of the Premier Arena Soccer League. He has served as a consultant to several amateur and professional soccer clubs and soccer projects. Additionally, he is an instructor for US Indoor’s Certified Arena Operator and member of the Board of Directors, instructor for the State of California Coaching School and served as the Director of Coaching for Los Gatos United Soccer League.

Carmen Padilla has over ten years of coaching experience including at the youth and collegiate level. Carmen played collegiate soccer at the University of the Pacific earning various accolades including a 4x Big West Recipient, a 3x Big West first team selection, a 3x Big West All-Academic Team selection and an NSCAA All-American Academic Team. She also was a member of the Mexican National Soccer Team from 2000-2008, Carmen attended the U19 World Cup (Canada, 2002), the U19 World Cup CONCACAF Qualifying Tournament (Canada, 2004), the Algarve Cup (Portugal, 2005 & 2006), the Tournament of Nations (China, 2007) , the Women’s Gold Cup-3rd Place (Carson, 2006) , the Pan American Games-4th Place (Brazil, 2007)and the CONCACAF Olympic Qualifying (Mexico, 2008). She has a B.S. in Business Administration and an M.A. in Health Exercise and Sport Sciences. Carmen hold a United States Soccer Federation B License, NCAA Women Coaches Academy Graduate, and accompanied the Elite Academy Coaching group that traveled to Holland on a Ziemer Coaching tour in 2014.

Alejandro Barajas begins his 5th year with San Juan South. Barajas is a Founder of the Elite Skills Academy and is a current member of the Elite Coaching Staff. In 2011 and 2012, Alejandro was an Assistant on the University of the Pacific coaching staff, focusing on individual player development as well as being in charge of training the teams Keepers. Barajas was also a member of the Elite Academy Coaching group that traveled to Holland on a Ziemer Coaching tour in 2014 and holds US Soccer Licenses and a Coerver Youth Diploma.

San Juan South SC is excited to announce the addition of Oscar Moreno to the programs coaching staff for the 2022-23 season.
Oscar is a business development manager for Mclloyd Sport. He works directly with athletes in the weight room and on the field for their respective sports to keep them fast, strong, and healthy. He has also analyzed GPS Data for multiple team sports working directly with coaches to help assist with coaching & programming decisions. Oscar will be reaching out to the community to support and provide resources to our future athletes.
Oscar was able to gain a personal training certificate through National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and interned directly with some of the top speed and development coaches in the world such as Jonas Dodoo and Les Spellman.

Adrienne begins her 3rd year with SJS. Sorenson was named Head Coach at San Joaquin Delta College in 2010 and has aggressively built the program into a state power. The 2015 season was the best season in program history with the Mustangs posting a 15-4-3 record and setting new records for wins in a season (15), consecutive wins (10), unbeaten streak (12 match), and shut outs (15). Sorenson was given the prestigious Northern California Coach of the Year award for 2015. She has led the team to 2 consecutive Elite 8 appearances in 2016 and 2017. Sorenson is a California Community College product of Sierra College in Rocklin where she was team captain and helped led the team to a Big 8 Conference title in 2005. The Sacramento native transferred to Cal State Stanislaus and played for head coach Gabriel Bolton where she was a two year starter and lead the team in points in her senior campaign.
